Q: How does the multiple camera feature work?
A: The front of the monitor has channel switch. To watch only one camera, simply set the camera to channel A, and turn the switch to the on position on the front of the monitor. To view two cameras, turn on two channel indicators (A and B) and make sure one camera is set to A and the second is set to B. The monitor will automatically switch between camera A and B every 4 or 8 seconds. Up to 3 cameras can be added.
Q: How far can the monitor be away from the camera?
A: It depends on the environment. With most homes, it will transmit very well over 100 feet. If many high frequency devices such as micro wave ovens, etc. are used, this may cause interference. With a clear line of sight (no obstacles) the system can transmit many 300 feet away.
Q: Does it use batteries?
A: Yes. The camera and monitor both must be supplied power by adapter or batteries.
Q: Can this be used in other countries than the China?
A: The RF Link Safety Monitor can be supplied Frequency with 1.2GHz or 2.4GHZ to work in any country.
Q: To what extent does the camera see in the dark?
A: The camera Have Infra-red LED on the camera for Nightvision (Day & Night Uses). The camera should be pointed directly at the target area. The camera sees the heat generated by the child or object.
Q: What is infrared?
A: Infrared is a technology based on producing an image of an object that emits energy (light). This light is invisible to the human eye. Infrared is an energy wavelength emitted by ALL objects at ordinary temperatures. Our camera sees this energy as light, and interprets it as a white image on our monitor. No harm can be made to the child.
Q: What colour does the system come in?
A: Color of picture in day is colorful, and in night is grey.
Q: How many speakers does the monitor have?
A: One.
Q: Can the monitor show a split screen when more than one camera is used?
A: No
Q: What is the size of the monitor screen?
A: 1.5,1.8 or 2.5 inches diagonally.
Q: Can the monitor or camera be used with other wireless monitoring devices?
A: Yes. If it uses a standard 2.4GHz frequency, but will not work with 900MHz systems. it is not recommended.
Q: Can the monitor be used as a TV?
A: No.
Q: What makes the Baby Monitor better than other monitors?
A: 3 channels allow for 3 cameras AND monitors to be used at the same time vs. 1 channel on other well know models. Adjustable focus lens compared to fixed lenses. Unidirectional antenna allows for maximum reception.
